This was a HBPB Open Short Course record for Emma, and only 22 splits off the A qualifying time for the World Short Course Championships - and well under the B time.
Huge thanks to NZCT (NZ Community Trust) for the contribution of $12000 towards Participation and Development.
Appreciation to the venues in our area - Clive Hotel in HB, and Bar 59 and Bollywood Stars in Gisborne.
As a region we are both excited, and grateful to, Comet Swimming - for their work in gaining funding for touch pads for use in the new Kiwa Pools. These will be an amazing addition that Comet can bring to the facility, enabling us to deliver regional meets in Gisborne - as well as attract other events. Well done to all involved.

THE BALANCE IS BETTER MESSAGES ARE:
Childhood success does not reliably predict adult success
Identifying athletes and specialising early is taking its toll on young people
A focus on development should be emphasised over winning
