The Heretaunga Sundevils A relay team has celebrated an outstanding two Open Silver medals at the NZ Short Course Championships in Christchurch.

The quartet of Breeze van Veldhuizen, Kaia Henare, Ruby Sisam and Lola Nicholls combined to take Silver in the Open 4 x 50m Medley Relay, finishing in an impressive 1:56.02.

The same four swimmers also teamed up in the Open 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay, producing a fantastic 1:44.90 to finish second behind Coast Swim Club.

Winning an Open medal at a New Zealand Championship is a fantastic achievement in its own right, but to come away with two Open Silver medals is a terrific result for the Sundevils girls.

Congratulations to Breeze, Kaia, Ruby and Lola on an outstanding championship!
